Before the pandemic, TOPdesk had a minimal working from home policy. Why? Because we believe that connection is very important in your daily routines and work. However, the year 2020 brought us some very important realizations. Connecting with other branches, for example, became so much easier when working remotely. And that is just one thing! Just think about focus and work-life balance. Therefore, we decided it was time for a change. Let’s look at the Future of Work!
The office will always be our home base, but more options are available. This means TOPdesk will make sure every colleague has the equipment they need at the office as well as at home. We expect you to come in every week, and we are convinced that you can utilize your home workplace for a productive day of work.
Why this approach? We strongly believe one of TOPdesk’s biggest strengths is our company culture. Being a part of the office is an important part of that culture. It’s how new colleagues get to know the three V’s, it’s how existing colleagues can connect with each other (also informally), and the office is the place where new initiatives develop more easily.
With the guidelines below you get our trust to use the freedom and responsibility for creating a workweek that works well for yourself, your team, and TOPdesk.
Just be sure that you’re welcome every day. We’d love to advise you to come in at least 50% of your TOPdesk time. Your Talent Lead is the ideal person to discuss a working rhythm with, and how this rhythm works well with your daily team.
As we’ve said before: we advise you to work from home less than 50% of your TOPdesk time. Discuss your desired balance with your Talent Lead. It’s important to know that being able to work from home is not something that is permanently set in stone. TOPdesk can re-evaluate this decision in the future.
