What are you going to do as a manager IT servicedesk?
Play a key role in creating and developing our strategy to take the global IT department to the next level! As Manager IT servicedesk, you are responsible for one of our internal IT teams: the operational services team that handles the IT front and back office. It is dedicated to delivering the best IT service to our TOPdesk colleagues. You know exactly what that looks like, because you’ve worked as a service desk employee yourself and have already gained 2 to 3 years of leadership experience. Now, you’re ready for the next step in your career—one where you can make an even greater impact.
You will ensure the happiness and engagement of the team, align with the global vision and strategy, and deliver service excellence daily. Reporting to the Director of IT operations, you will collaborate with the IT-Management team to develop and implement strategies to elevate the global IT department.
As our manager IT servicedesk, you’ll work with the IT management team to set and monitor team objectives, ensuring alignment with broader domain goals. You’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing processes and service quality. As a leader, you’ll provide coaching and mentoring to IT professionals, supporting their growth while demonstrating empathetic leadership to address their needs. You’ll also manage staffing processes, including hiring and assessments, to build a skilled and motivated team. You’ll foster a positive, collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence across the organization.
Where will you end up?
At our TOPdesk headquarters in Delft! As we’re active in eight different countries, our IT department operates globally. As a manager IT servicedesk, you’ll work in the financial domain and be part of the IT management team, where you’ll collaborate with our other IT team managers.
This department is organized around our key themes: operational services, infrastructure & security, IT enablement and data, information and application management. As Global IT we aim to ensure business continuity, comply with market standards and provide a safe and enjoyable place to work. We’re using standard processes and data-driven information for better insight.
The operational services team is the first point of contact as it manages the front and back office of IT. Your team manages all desktop and office hardware for TOPdesk colleagues in 8 different countries. It consists of 10 people, spread across three of our offices in Budapest, Kaiserslautern and Delft. We work closely with IT key users in the other offices to provide the best service globally.
Are you our new manager IT servicedesk?
- You have a proven track record with 2-3 years of managerial experience (e.g., team lead role).
- You have strong leadership and management skills to motivate and inspire your team
- You are able to implement company-wide strategies within your team
- You have experience in IT-service management and a strong interest future trends in the field
- You prefer to work primarily in the Delft office due to team requirements, although hybrid working is possible.
