What will you do as a finance specialist?
Specialize yourself in the finance department within the accounts payable domain. You’ll link payments to invoices and check the periodic closings. Additionally, you will consider process improvements in financial matters, such as automating invoice entries and sending more efficient reminders.
Every day, someone at TOPdesk purchases something from a supplier, from an educational book for a new colleague to arranging the catering for the upcoming years. You assist colleagues with their purchases and check the invoices. If there is any ambiguity, you investigate to find out the exact situation. You might even find an error that saves both us and the supplier a lot of problems!
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are indispensable in this role. Communication is important to help explain complex administrative matters to your colleagues. And with numerous different contracts and specifications, being sharp with the numbers is essential to ensure smooth payments to and from suppliers.
During onboarding, you will go over the daily tasks with a Finance colleague from your domain. You will soon start working independently because we believe in learning by doing. Naturally, you will be supported by a team where you can go with all your questions.
Where will you end up?
In the finance team at TOPdesk Netherlands, at our headquarters in Delft! In this team, you’ll work alongside financial specialists from the domains of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. You’ll become part of the accounts payable domain. The team handles daily finance matters and continuously works on process improvements. These processes are also being implemented in TOPdesk’s international branches. This adds an international dimension, as you will often be asked to assist foreign offices with financial issues!

- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
