Engineering manager – Cloud and Infrastructure Engineering

This is not a role for someone who waits for direction. You’ll be stepping into ownership of two strong infrastructure engineering teams at a pivotal moment and a deployment architecture that needs to evolve. Your job isn’t just to keep things running — it’s to move them forward.

What you will be working on

Our deployment architecture is genuinely complex: monoliths, microservices, single- and multi-tenant SaaS components, running across the globe and on premises. The teams you’ll lead work across Azure cloud infra, application configuration, AKS, virtual appliances, and integrations with internal systems.

Beyond your teams, you’ll collaborate with peers on broader infrastructure plans — hosting strategy, data sovereignty, SRE, and the continued evolution of our cloud platform.

How you will work

You proactively contribute to the roadmap rather than waiting for it to arrive in your inbox. You identify gaps before they become problems, bring proposals to the table, and measure your work by business impact, not task completion.

You treat your engineers’ productivity as a first-class concern, including how AI tooling can fundamentally change what’s possible for them — and you lead by example, using it yourself. You coach, grow, and challenge, and you know the difference between a team that’s performing and one that’s just shipping.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or distributed systems, able to engage credibly on hard problems
  • 7+ years of technical experience; 3+ years leading engineering teams
  • Experience in operationally critical environments, you understand what it means when something breaks for customers across the globe
  • A track record of growing engineers and teams, not just managing them; your instinct is to raise the bar, not just maintain it
  • You connect engineering decisions to business outcomes and build effective working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Comfort with cross-functional complexity, you can align stakeholders and still move fast
  • Proficiency in English

You’re probably not the right fit if:

  • You prefer a clear task queue over shaping your own agenda
  • Technical depth isn’t something you’ve actively maintained
  • You do your best work when expectations are modest

What success looks like after 12 months

  • Your teams are high-performing, AI-native, and improving continuously
  • Measurable progress on the deployment system, more scalable, less friction, across the globe
  • Active contribution to shared infrastructure strategy: hosting, data sovereignty, SRE alignment
  • Peer EMs and stakeholders describe you as someone who drives shared goals, not just team goals
  • Engineers on your teams have grown, and stayed

This is what you do it for

The nicest colleagues, a laptop, and a salary that grows with you. That is a no-brainer, of course. But there’s more. Much more. In the Employee Handbook, you’ll discover all of our employment conditions.
