Salary at TOPdesk: how our salary system works
At TOPdesk, we believe in a fair and transparent salary system. A system that puts your growth at the centre. Here’s how the TOPdesk salary system works.
Starting salary
Everyone who joins TOPdesk brings their own background and unique experience. And we really value that. If you’ve just graduated, you’ll start at the beginning of the salary range that belongs to your role. Curious about the starting salary for different roles? Take a look at our vacancies. If you already have relevant work experience, we’ll look at how much experience you bring. Based on that, we determine the level you’ll start at. Every level comes with a salary scale that gives you room to grow.
You’ll find the full explanation of the different levels in our employee handbook.
Salary increases
Within a salary scale, you can grow your salary every year based on your performance, your development, and your responsibilities. When you meet the criteria for a level promotion, or when you move into a different role, your grading changes too, and with it comes a new salary scale. If your salary matches what you do, the responsibility you carry, and how you’re developing, you’ll stay within your current grading. As you continue to grow as a professional, your grading will eventually grow with you.
At the start of each year, you’ll have a performance review with your manager and a third colleague. Together, you look back on your growth and development. Based on that, you receive a rating ranging from ‘below expectations’ to ‘exceeds expectations’. This rating determines whether you qualify for a salary increase, and how big that increase will be. The possible increases are €0, €150, €225, or €300, depending on your role and rating.
Why this system?
Because we believe in a salary structure that fits the way we work: open, honest, and future-focused. A system that shows you where you stand, where you can grow, and what recognition comes with that. That’s how we create an environment where you get the space to take steps, develop yourself, and get the most out of your TOPdesk adventure.
