Are you interested in recruitment, HR, and working with people? As a Recruitment Intern (Watson), you’ll play an active role in helping TOPdesk attract, hire, and onboard new colleagues. You’ll work closely with recruiters, candidates, and hiring managers while gaining hands-on experience across recruitment, onboarding, and process improvement.
No two days are the same. One day you might be screening candidates or scheduling interviews, while the next you’ll support onboarding, improve recruitment processes, or help represent TOPdesk at a campus event. From day one, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership and make a real contribution to the team.
What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll support our recruiters throughout the entire recruitment process while helping to create an excellent candidate experience.
You will:
- Support the recruitment process from A to Z together with our recruiters.
- Source and approach potential candidates for open positions.
- Screen candidates for junior-level roles and determine who moves forward in the process.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers.
- Conduct interviews for selected roles and support recruiters during hiring processes.
- Prepare contracts and support onboarding administration to ensure new colleagues have a smooth start at TOPdesk.
- Help maintain offer documentation, templates, and recruitment administration.
- Support campus recruitment activities and represent TOPdesk at career fairs, student events, and employer branding initiatives.
- Contribute to process improvement projects, such as:
- Keeping recruitment documentation and guides up to date.
- Supporting vacancy creation and job posting administration.
- Improving candidate communication and recruitment workflows.
- Identifying opportunities to make recruitment and onboarding processes more efficient.
During your onboarding, you’ll get to know TOPdesk, our recruitment processes, and the tools we use. You’ll be guided by experienced recruiters while also having the freedom to take initiative and develop your own ideas.

Where you'll work
You’ll join our 8-person Recruitment team in Delft. Together, we help TOPdesk attract, hire, and onboard talented colleagues across the organization.
As a Watson, you’ll support Team Sherlock in finding new talent for TOPdesk. Besides Team Sherlock, Recruitment also includes Campus Recruitment, focused on students and graduates, and Herbie, on Recruitment Marketing.
You’ll work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, candidates, and new colleagues, giving you the opportunity to build a broad network across TOPdesk while contributing to continuous improvement within the team.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes initiative, and is eager to learn.
You:
- Have an interest in recruitment, HR, and working with people.
- Enjoy organizing and coordinating multiple tasks at the same time.
- Are proactive and like taking ownership.
- Have strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Enjoy combining administrative work with stakeholder contact.
- Are detail-oriented and able to work accurately.
- Are curious, eager to learn, and not afraid to ask questions.
- Are available 32–40 hours per week
