Some of the information will be explained to you personally in the following days. This way you have the possibility to check everything again afterwards.

Buddy-Time
To make your start easier, an experienced employee will be your buddy from the very beginning. He will introduce you to the world of TOPdesk and make sure that your questions are answered. Either he knows the answer himself or he can help you to find the right contact person (the whole TOPdesk team is happy to help you, don’t be shy).
In addition, the buddy will make sure that you have a good start at TOPdesk, feel welcome and quickly make connections. He will give you a tour of the entire office so that you can easily find your way around, and he will also introduce you to our individual departments and their tasks.
Of course, he will also help you to familiarize yourself with your field of work and show you everything you need to know.

General information
Parking around the office, job ticket and company bike
If you come to work by car, you are welcome to use the parking lot directly next to our building. If this is full, you can either use the free parking spaces on the street or park your car in the BIC parking lot.
At TOPdesk, we are happy to support you with your job bike and job ticket. You can find all further information on this in the corresponding KIs in Yoda (KI 0699 & KI 1017).
Coffee kitchen/break room
In each kitchen you will find three different waste garbage cans (plastic, paper, residual waste), as we at TOPdesk attach great importance to proper waste separation. The dishwasher is put away by the employees themselves, which is why we ask you not to simply place your dishes on the kitchen counter. Our Office Management team generally takes care of clearing out the dishwasher. However, it would be nice if our employees could also lend a hand from time to time.
You will also find a fridge on each floor that you can use to store your food.
Private package deliveries to the company
You prefer to spend your time in the office rather than being in the home office from time to time? That’s what we like to hear.
But online shopping is still your thing and you miss your parcel carrier as a result? No problem – as long as it doesn’t get out of hand, you can have your packages delivered to the office. They will be received by the Office Management team at the reception and can be picked up by you there. Please understand and avoid leaving your parcel there for too long.

Early Birds and Night Owls take note!
As you may have already seen, our building is secured with digital lock cylinders.
If you are the first person in the office, you will have to unlock them.
Unlocking the doors works like this:
Hold the transponder (which you will receive during onboarding) against the cylinder, wait a short time.
First the cylinder flashes blue, then it lights up green.
Now you have 5 seconds to turn the cylinder and open the door.
After closing time, please make sure you are the last person in the building. If this is the case, it is especially important that you check all floors to make sure that the windows are closed. Afterwards, you should make sure that all floors are locked.
Locking the doors works as follows:
Activate cylinder via transponder
As soon as the green light is on, turn the cylinder to the left, as you would with a normal key.
A door that has merely “fallen into the lock” is not locked, the same principle applies as for the apartment/house door.
Note:
At TOPdesk, the general working hours are 8:00 – 18:00. Extra time outside these working hours is only granted if you have received an order from your supervisor to do so. Therefore, if you voluntarily exceed or fall below the time frame, you will not receive extra pay.
