Here at TOPdesk we have an exciting new role as the Internal Sales Manager, leading both our Business Development Executives and Inside Sales Consultants. We’re looking for someone to continue growing our team’s success with an objective of expanding our brand and customer base in UK&I.

Working as part of the Management Team, you will propel our growth by driving the team to increase new business opportunities. You will be responsible for overseeing both the Business Development Executives (who generate new business opportunities and leads with potential clients), and the Inside Sales Consultants (who work to ensure pipelines are fuelled for our Account Managers).

You will also work closely with the Lead Generation Manager to ensure close collaboration between our part-time Lead Generation team and the BDE/IS team.

What are you going to do as Internal Sales Manager?

The Internal Sales Manager will bring energy, focus and expertise to the role to inspire and act as a leader to their team members.

The role will require the successful candidate to train, motivate, nurture, and guide a team of enthusiastic sales individuals with a range of experience levels. We’re looking for someone with a deliberate people management style who is energised by helping their reports succeed and grow in their careers.

You will also work with professionals within multiple departments to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration. For example, you’d be collaborating with our Marketing and Events team on pre- and post-show campaigns, working with our Bid Manager to contribute towards bids for RFPs, or assisting with recruitment processes.

Additionally you’ll have the opportunity to implement new strategies to improve our Business Development and Inside Sales processes. It’ll be important to have a good grasp of B2B tech sales, and to keep up-to-date on market trends and the TOPdesk tool to feed back to the team.

Other responsibilities may include:

  • Utilising the CRM system to run reports and deliver figures to the leadership team
  • Managing performance appraisal processes and KPI/target discussions
  • Liaising with other teams and Business Units to ensure alignment across the sales cycle

Are you our new Internal Sales Manager?

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar line of Sales required (Inside Sales/SDR)
  • Previous management experience, with the ability to motivate and coach team members
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and reporting
  • Analytical and data-driven
  • Creative and strategic mindset, with the ability to put new ideas into action
  • A self-starter, pro-active, and a willingness to be hands-on if needed
  • Previous experience in B2B or Software Sales is preferred
