Are you looking to advance your testing career? Are you passionate about quality? Do you enjoy technological challenges and are you successful in driving change? TOPdesk is looking for a Software Tester to join one of our back-end or full-stack Agile Development Teams in Delft!

You will help your team sharpen their testing tools and strategies and raise their quality profile. In return, TOPdesk guarantees the chance to grow in your role, broaden your expertise and extend your influence beyond your own team.

What are you going to do as a Software Tester?

At TOPdesk, quality is at the heart of everything we do. You will work in close collaboration with your Agile Team to safeguard the quality of your product across the whole development lifecycle, from conception to implementation, release and monitoring in production.

You will be involved in a wide range of activities including manual testing, test automation, functional and non-functional testing. It’s your responsibility to help the team refine their tools, methods and mindset, to continually deliver outstanding quality in a high-risk setting.

Here are a few day-to-day activities you may find yourself doing, together with your scrum team:

  • Creating and executing test cases, both manual and automated.
  • Writing automated tests at various levels.
  • Producing high quality, detailed bug reports.
  • Performing root cause analyses.
  • Managing risk on both a story and a project level.
  • Defining quality metrics and tracking them with your team.
  • Driving continuous improvement in your team’s testing processes.

Where will you end up?

TOPdesk is an international software company and has around fifteen Agile development teams in the Netherlands, Germany and Hungary. For our headquarters in Delft, we are looking for one or more Software Testers to strengthen our scrum teams. You will not only work with your own team, but also with colleagues from other branches.

We have an open and informal culture; we pay a lot of attention to personal development and it’s ok if you make the occasional mistake. We regularly hold presentations and knowledge sharing sessions to teach each other new things. There is also room to visit conferences, such as Devoxx and Javaland. Moreover, you can allocate 10% of your time according to your personal growth and development.

You can expect freedom in your work – you carry out your role in the way that suits you. What’s more, you can make a real difference from day one as part of an active international community of testers and QA specialists. Teach and get inspired at the vi-weekly international tester meetups, or help the whole department to improve as a member of the Quality Assurance Guild.

Are you our new Software Tester?

You have:

  • 3+ years testing experience.
  • Preferably experience with automated testing.
  • Experience working with Agile and/or DevOps.
  • Demonstratable ability to make improvements in a team environment.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Solid customer focus, teamwork, innovation, creativity, and relationship building.

You are:

  • Keen to learn and able to quickly find your way in a new technical or business domain.
  • Proactive and driven to improve.
  • Quality-minded.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Our corporate language is English. Dutch, German and/or Hungarian are not required, but would be an advantage.

What we offer

  • Working at one of the best employers in the Netherlands.
