Currently not living in the Netherlands? Or only temporarily? We only process your application if you have a permanent work permit. Why? Because the application process for a permanent work permit goes hand in hand with a lot of uncertainties and bureaucracy.

Are you ready to start off your career as a Software Developer at an international software company? At TOPdesk we offer a working environment with lots of young, highly educated people where craftsmanship and fun are highly valued. You love complex programming assignments and making people happy with your solutions.

What are you going to do?

We assume that you, during your studies or personal projects, have gained experience with programming. Depending on your experience level, you will first work on expanding your knowledge and skills. The first goal is that you learn to work with the many different techniques, languages and frameworks. You’ll also have to learn about our (technical) TOPdesk environment and understand how we program. Java, HTML and Javascript is something you’ll work with most of the time, but there is plenty of room for other libraries, stacks and frameworks like VueJS, Jasmine, LESS, Knockout and Docker.

At TOPdesk we work according to Scrum. In multidisciplinary teams you’ll work together with multiple developers, a functional designer and a software tester. The team gets well-defined projects that can have multiple outcomes, such as improved modules or functionalities, different navigation strategies or new techniques. As junior developer you’ll quickly start working on these projects. We are looking forward to see you working towards contributing to higher quality software. You too?

Where will you be working?

TOPdesk is an international software and consultancy company. Our Development department is situated in the Delft head office and in our offices in Tilburg, Kaiserslautern and Budapest. There is daily contact with our colleagues in other offices and we encourage you, after some time, to visit these offices.

We have an open and informal culture, with a lot of emphasis on personal development. Every year we have an International Development Meeting, where colleagues share ideas and get to know each other better. We also make time to visit Devoxx, the popular European Java conference in Antwerp. Software developers have 10% of their time to dedicate to internal ‘hobby projects’ that lead to new knowledge or inspiration.
