Are you a true pioneer and experienced in identifying the different research areas within the service management landscape? Are you excited to work at a growing international company? TOPdesk is looking for a UX Researcher!

What will you do as a UX Researcher?

Pioneering! You will be the first dedicated UX researcher at TOPdesk, where you will work closely with Product Owners, UX Designers and Scrum teams to support user research needs. What does this role entail? You will identify potential research areas to dive into, create research plans and recruit users. For example: find out how our customers would like to organize the groups of people that work with the TOPdesk software. How to do that? That is up to you! Why all this research? As a user experience researcher you know that the users’ motivation, needs and problems are the starting point for the best product development.

You will work closely with UX designers and product owners to help answer questions about users’ behavior. But also, to check how the users are experiencing the product after a few months. Besides research, a vital part of your job will be to present your findings convincingly to others. Product managers will use your input to motivate roadmap decisions, and designers will base their designs on your insights.

Where will you work?

You will join the UX team. The UX team is part of the development department, which is scattered over three different countries: The Netherlands, Germany and Hungary. The team consists of 15 passionate UX designers who are eager to create user-centered software.

Where? At the Budapest branch of TOPdesk! One of the best Dutch employers. We have an open and informal culture, we pay a lot of attention to personal development and it’s ok if you make the occasional mistake. We regularly hold presentations and knowledge sharing sessions to teach each other new things. There is also room to visit conferences, such as UXInsight. Moreover, you can allocate 10% of your time according to your own preferences, for example to explore new research methods.

Are you the user experience researcher we’re looking for?

  • Higher education or University degree in Human-Computer interaction, Psychology, Anthropology or similar fields of expertise.
  • 2+ years of experience as a user researcher .
  • You have great communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • You’re able to translate your research findings into actionable insights.
  •  You are able to identify potential research areas
