We are looking for a new Software Tester for our Product and Technology department in Budapest, Hungary. Our service management software is used by millions of users from our more than 4500 customers daily. We are looking for an enthusiastic tester who would be happy to join our team.

What are you going to do as a Software Tester?
As a tester, your responsibility is to support your teams in safeguarding the quality of your product. Not only do you see the customer’s point of view, but you also understand the technical challenges faced by programmers and have a deep understanding of the software. Within your team, you are an expert at validating assumptions, drawing attention to risks & impacts, investigating software issues, and helping your team become better at these.
From conception and creation to release and maintenance, testers at TOPdesk are involved at each stage of the software development cycle. During your work, you will liaise with other testers, designers, the Product Manager and other departments such as Support or Consultancy and customers.
You are always looking for ways to improve quality by gathering inspiration from your colleagues and the industry. The knowledge and expertise you gain helps you represent the customer throughout development, predict where problems may arise, and make sure that features are thoroughly tested.
In our team, you will need to take into account AI risks and vulnerabilities, stay up to date with AI latest technologies, and explore the differences between the different LLM models.
Here are a few day-to-day activities you may find yourself doing, together with your scrum team:
- Defining test cases, for manual and automated testing, with a focus on AI test cases
- Writing a Test Plan with your team for new features and AI services.
- Validating assumptions and the quality of our products.
- Brainstorming a solution for a user story.
- Liaising with the Product Manager and a Support representative about issues found at customers.
- Hunting for bugs or defects in new or updated software.
- Doing a risk analysis before starting a new project, focusing on AI vulnerabilities.
- Performing a root cause analysis for issues found.
- Helping your team develop an effective testing strategy.
- Collaborating with testers from other teams in cross projects and integration
About the team:
AI Innovation Team – We established a new team dedicated to driving the company’s AI initiatives. This team will develop new services that interact with large language models, rapidly prototype and experiment with emerging ideas, and validate solutions that best meet our customers’ needs. The team will also explore cutting-edge AI technologies to identify and integrate the most effective advancements into our systems.
Are you our new Software Tester?
- you have excellent analytical skills
- you are interested in software or product development
- you have experience with AI features development cycle and testing AI features
- you have 2-5 year of experience as a tester
- you have a critical outlook of the world, not as a quality monitor, rather to find cooperative solutions
- you have excellent communication skills
- You have experience working in international teams
- you have desire to continuously learn and develop yourself
- you are fluent in English (Hungarian, German or Dutch is a plus)
- you have a BSc degree
