Job Description

We are looking for a new User Experience Designer for our Development department. Every day, over 4,000 satisfied customers worldwide use TOPdesk software. This is only possible because both the usability engineering and the look and feel are just right. The creative position of User Experience Designer plays an essential role in this.

As a User Experience Designer you design from the user’s perspective, taking into account their needs in order to create user-centred designs. You work in multi-disciplinary Scrum teams, which means you collaborate with programmers, testers and product managers on a daily basis. In this role you are responsible for making beautiful interfaces, typically created in Adobe Illustrator. Research, process design and usability are also important parts of the designer job.
We currently have nearly ten designers across three branches who actively work together to improve our skills and tools like personas, design guidelines, design principles and reviews.

Your profile

You are good at abstraction and have at least a Bachelor’s degree.

If you are a starter, you have completed a degree in interaction design, multimedia design or a similar subject. However, it is also possible to apply if you have at least three years’ work experience in a similar position.

A User Experience Designer must independently and actively look for feedback. You have to take part in vigorous discussions with people who have worked for TOPdesk longer than you have, and strongly defend your own opinion.

International Workplace

You are part of an international team. In addition to the Development department in Budapest, there are also developers in the Dutch and German offices. You regularly collaborate with these colleagues, so English is the department’s official language.

You will be asked to regularly travel to the Netherlands, especially at the start of your career. You must take into account that, several times a year, you will spend a number of weeks in another country.
