TOPdesk is an international software company in the field of service management with 900 employees in 11 countries and 4,000 customers worldwide. For our location in Kaiserslautern, founded in 2004, we are looking for a Product Owner (m/f/d) to support our Development department.

Your job

You’ll work in the International Product Management team, part of the Product Development Department. As Product Owner, you work in a scrum team to develop and market great service management software. You focus on customer value through the product. You use your knowledge of the market and actively involve customers, partners and colleagues to create visions for the product.

Of course, you’re not only creating visions. These product visions form the basis of what you will collaborate on with one or multiple development teams. For these teams, you represent the customer. You give a team of developers, consisting of programmers, testers and designers, insight into the customers’ perspective and challenge them to make a product that adds value for the customer.

You’re also responsible for delivering the built products to customers, as well as ensuring a successful launch and adoption. You have excellent communication skills, so you successfully work together with colleagues from all departments and branches. It also means you market the product to customers, and you ensure that the business can sell, implement, and support the product.

As our team is looking to improve our skills and market knowledge, you contribute by bringing your experience to the table. You will closely work with our Development department of more than 100 developers. You will also closely collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Your profile

  • Completed university studies, preferably in the IT field
  • Experience in the creation, design or implementation of software products
  • Familiar with Scrum
  • Thinking and acting with an outside-in perspective
  • Ability to translate experience and knowledge into customer value
  • Motivation to achieve measurable success with customers
  • Ability to clearly articulate relationships between larger business goals and small backlog items
  • Independent and structured way of working as well as a high sense of responsibility and ability to work in a team
  • Very good English skills to communicate on an international level

Nice to have:

  • Experience creating foundational patterns, UI components, tools, and documentation to support our design vision
