Your environment
Our 16 development teams are spread across three countries: Kaiserslautern (DE), Budapest (HU), Delft (NL) and Tilburg (NL). We use chat solutions, video conferencing and occasional trips to the other locations for team collaboration. This position is part of a local team that meets regularly in the office to exchange ideas and collaborate in person. We attach great importance to the continuous further training of our employees. All TOPdesk developers (m/f/d) can devote 10% of their working time to any project they wish in order to develop innovations and further their education.
Together in teams we develop our product based on domain-driven design. In order to grow and deliver in a healthy way, we currently transition from a monolithic architecture to microservices. Our tech stack includes Java, Jooq, Docker, Git , MSSQL or Kubernetes. We use Azure as cloud platform and Gitlab CI and Jenkins to continously deploy new updates to our SaaS customers.
Your Job
- Agile working with the Scrum framework and modern technologies
- Take ownership of the code together with your team
- Design and implement scalable and robust storage solutions in close collaboration with our colleagues from Operations
- Develop and maintain libraries and tools for other teams to ensure secure and reliable data access, data consistency, and regulatory compliancy
- Participate in discussions about solutions and new approaches to influence the development direction
Your profile
- Completed university degree or vocational training, preferably in the IT sector
- Sound knowledge of agile software development
- Very good command of English to communicate on an international level
- High willingness to acquire and apply new knowledge
- Clear and simple expression
- Background in SaaS application development on major cloud platform, preferably Azure
- Experience in cloud database, cloud storage, distributed systems
