About the role

Your core responsibility is generating leads and promoting the TOPdesk product and brand within the world of B2B. The daily tasks of a Business Development Associate include making outbound calls to gather information on potential customers, following up on previous communications, and sending out relevant information outlining how our services can support customers. There is further scope within the role to manage projects concerning areas of personal interest, and find new ways of generating strong business leads whilst collaborating with the Sales, and Marketing teams.

Some of the daily tasks of a Business Development Associate include:

  • Proactively seek opportunities to ensure growth of client base within the ANZ market
  • Effectively planning and executing consistent pipelines of self-generated BD (business development) activity for the local catchment, including sourcing, follow-up, presenting and activating opportunities.
  • Engaging and interacting with our target audience over the phone and online.
  • Collaborating closely with the local marketing team contributing to the continuous improvement of our sales targeting & meeting KPIs.
  • Representing TOPdesk at conferences and webinars.
  • Continuously update sales progress in Microsoft Dynamics

Where will you go?

You will be working in the heart of Melbourne. The Australian branch is relatively young in comparison to other TOPdesk offices. TOPdesk was established in Melbourne at the end of 2019. The team consists of 8 colleagues so far.

Are you our new Sales colleague?

  • Recent graduate or graduating in 2023
  • Resilient with excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • A self-starter: great initiative, self-motivation, and creativity with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Goal orientated, ability to set and work towards your own KPI’s
  • Outgoing and gregarious with the ambition to learn and grow within the organization
  • Commercially aware and sales-minded

  • High level of computer literacy (including all MS applications)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Target/objective orientated, ability to set and work towards your own KPI’s
  • Enthusiastic and pro-active; think quickly and solve problems efficiently and effectively

What we offer

  • $57,500 – $62,500 annual salary (based on a 38 hr work week)
  • 26 days of holiday per year
  • 24-38 hr work week – it’s up to you
